Herculite Products Inc. has appointed Humberto Medrano as regional sales manager for the U.S. Southwest, the Emigsville, Pennsylvania-based performance fabrics manufacturer confirmed on September 30, 2026.
The hire places a 40-year sales veteran in front of End Product Manufacturers and the distribution partners that supply them, with responsibility for the company's awning and marine fabric ranges. Those lines include Coastline Plus and Patio 500, two of Herculite's established performance fabric brands for outdoor and marine end uses, alongside other High Performance and Custom Fabric offerings the company ships into the awning, marine, and adjacent industrial softgoods segments.
What does the role cover?
Medrano will develop and grow relationships with End Product Manufacturers and the field sales personnel attached to those accounts. He also carries promotional responsibility for Herculite's awning fabric brands, working through the company's distribution partners to build loyalty and consumption at the converter tier.
The position sits squarely in the converter-to-finished-goods segment of the softgoods supply chain. Herculite supplies coated and laminated textiles that cut-and-sew operators turn into retractable awnings, patio covers, boat tops, and marine enclosures sold through specialty retailers and OEM channels. Mill-side field coverage is typically the lever converters and distributors lean on to qualify new SKUs, troubleshoot application fit, and convert stocked inventory into repeat programs.
Who is the new hire?
Medrano holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from DeVry University. He brings more than 20 years of textile industry sales and account management experience, layered on four decades of broader international and domestic commercial work. He is based in Azusa, California.
The company framed the appointment in a statement: "At Herculite, we are committed to delivering the highest level of service, support, and innovation in the industry. We are confident that Humberto's experience, communication skills, and customer-focused approach will make him a valuable addition to our team and enable him to contribute meaningfully to our mission."
What does the move signal for buyers and distributors?
The Southwest corridor — Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California — anchors a heavy share of U.S. new residential construction and aftermarket marine and RV demand, both core downstream channels for Herculite's coated fabric catalog. Dedicated field coverage in the territory points to a push for deeper shelf presence at awning fabricators and marine canvas shops, where sample turns and forecast conversations typically close orders.
For stocking distributors, the change returns a named Herculite contact to a region that has historically leaned on inside sales support. That shift raises the prospect of more frequent mill visits, faster sample turnaround on custom runs, and tighter alignment on stocked SKUs across the Coastline Plus and Patio 500 ranges. End Product Manufacturers in the territory should expect a direct line for quoting, complaint resolution, and joint product trials with the mill.
The appointment takes effect with the September 30 announcement. Herculite has not disclosed prior Southwest staffing or succession arrangements, and no production capacity or capital investment accompanies the hire.
