Reshoring Textiles acquired Sans Technical Fibers, a Stoneville, North Carolina filament yarn maker with more than 20 years of operation.
Sans produces high-tenacity nylon 6.6 and polyester yarns for apparel, footwear, medical, military and automotive applications.
Sans expanded into polyester in 2017 and added production equipment in 2018 and 2024.
New extrusion equipment is due to arrive at Sans to widen its polymer offering.
Sans holds ISO 9001 certification and complies with the Berry Amendment and USMCA.
Reshoring Textiles has acquired Sans Technical Fibers, adding domestic production of technical and speciality filament yarns to its US operations. The deal brings high-tenacity nylon 6.6 and polyester yarns into a group that already owns spinning operation Spinnere.
Sans manufactures filament yarns for sewing thread, narrow fabrics, braided cords and other industrial textile applications. Its customer base spans apparel and footwear, plus medical, military, automotive and manufactured rubber markets.
The company is based in Stoneville, North Carolina, and has supplied high-tenacity filaments for more than two decades. Under the new ownership, Sans will operate as a sister company to Spinnere within Reshoring Textiles.
Who now runs the combined business?
Reshoring Textiles has appointed John Garner chief executive of Sans. Robert Antoshak joins as chief marketing officer of Reshoring Textiles.
Reshoring Textiles chief executive Josh Nieuwsma said: "Reshoring is dedicated to helping American textile manufacturing grow. Customers need reliable long-term domestic sources of the raw materials their products require."
Nieuwsma added: "Sans gives us an established operation with deep experience in speciality nylon and polyester. Alongside Spinnere, it will help us supply more of those needs from US facilities, and support manufacturers and startups looking to grow and build their businesses here."
The appointments pair operating leadership with marketing reach across the two sister companies.
What does Sans actually make?
The product range covers nylon yarns in ultrafine and heavier deniers, including products with UV stabilisation and specific dyeing characteristics. Sans expanded into polyester in 2017 and added production equipment in 2018 and 2024 for yarns from fine deniers to heavier industrial grades.
Reshoring said new extrusion equipment is due to arrive at Sans, allowing the manufacturer to offer a wider selection of polymers. The investment signals near-term capacity growth rather than a portfolio purchase alone.
Which compliance boxes does it tick?
Sans manufactures in North Carolina using US-made raw materials. The company holds ISO 9001 certification and states its products comply with the Berry Amendment and the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
Berry Amendment compliance matters for any buyer supplying the US Department of Defense, which requires domestic textile sourcing for covered procurements. USMCA qualification opens duty-free access for qualifying yarn-forward supply chains in North America.
Garner said: "Sans has built its reputation on consistent, high-performance fibres. Our mission statement: to make it easy to do business in America. We don't like the word no."
What should sourcing teams do with this?
For apparel and footwear suppliers weighing reshoring, the deal adds a second confirmed US-based source of high-tenacity nylon and polyester filament within one group, with stated Berry and USMCA credentials on file. Buyers needing domestic yarn for defence, medical or industrial applications can now quote both Sans and Spinnere as sister operations. The sourcing decision this forces is simple: firms hedging import exposure on technical yarns have one more auditable, US-raw-material option to qualify.
